Erroneous publication by AV Foundation office. Please disregard.

May 10, 2022 | Organisation & governance, Processes by-passed, Resident Assembly

Dear Community,

The Auroville Foundation office has again posted the same erroneous statement by Anu, Arun, Partha and Srimoyi which was just removed by the Auroville Council. Totally 2 posts were removed by Council. In both the posts, including the latest one where the AV Foundation office is communicating on behalf of the 4 individuals, they have signed as the “Working Committee”, which is inappropriate.

The 4 individuals have erred on 2 occasions in regard to the process in the last days:

1. While suggesting to remove 3 Working Committee members using a clause in the PWG 2022, they have not used due process as they clearly did not “exhaust all attempts” for integration. The 4 members (Anu, Arun, Partha and Srimoyi) refused the help of the Council and the use of a facilitator to bridge their differences, when the other 3 members (Chali, Sauro and Hemant) had reached out to the Council seeking help with this integration.

2. The Council did not see the need to clarify the previous point as it had asked all the members of the Working Committee to await the result of the RAD on the very same subject through “a vote of no confidence in and a re-selection of the Working Committee “. RADs supersede any decision by the Working Committee. Unfortunately they have chosen not to acknowledge the RAD process.

Therefore please disregard the announcement by the Auroville Foundation office, communicated on behalf of Anu, Arun, Partha and Srimoyi as erroneous.

Regards,
Auroville Council
