A JCB is clearing in the forest of Bliss leaded by an engineer allegedly hired by CPWD. Despite of the NGT ruling, the decision of the RA and the ongoing court cases the Secretary’s office has requested the clearing of this area in order to make a cycle path. Apparently the CPWD’s scope of work has been extended to create 2.5m wide “cyclepaths” through all “green corridors” / parks.
The clearing work is not in required compliance with the NTG order, as they do not have Environmental Clearance nor a DDP.
