The ATDC informs the community that they will not take into account the ongoing Resident Assembly decision process to make a pause on the development till a decision is made by the community.

The ATDC mentions 2 articles of the Auroville Foundation Act 1988, There is no 19(1)(c) there is 19(2)(c).

The decisions taken in the last report of the Governing Board were taken by the Secretary and a few selected members from the working groups only, the Residents Assembly was never consulted, no Residents assembly meeting happened since the arrival of the Secretary.

These decisions were not done in accordance with the Auroville Foundation Act. Please see the Auroville Foundation act.

ATDC members were not selected by the RA but appointed by the Secretary of the Governing Board of the Auroville Foundation.

The master plan gazetted in 2010 specifies in different part of the document the role of the Resident Assembly. Please see article 1.10.6 of the master plan
